Store Programs

Youth Equipment Buyback Program
Purchase junior ski equipment from Lee’s at regular price from September 1st to February 1st. Enjoy skiing the rest of the winter with your new equipment. Starting September 1st of the following year bring in the non-fitting equipment with your sales receipt. Lee’s will buy back (for store credit only) the junior equipment at 50% of the regular price if the equipment is one year old or 25% of the regular price if the equipment is two years old.

Alpine ski demo program
Lee’s offers our customers the chance to “try before you buy” some of the new models of alpine skis that we carry in stock. $30.00 for the first day, $15.00 for each additional day. The first day rental fee can be used towards a ski purchase. Your own ski boots and poles are required.

Snowshoe Rental Program
Lee’s has snowshoes available for rental. $12.00 for the first day, $3.00 for each additional day. The first day rental fee can be used towards a snowshoe purchase.

Shoe, Boot & Foot bed Services
Lee’s offers fit analysis and adjustment for shoes, hiking boots, alpine ski boots, Nordic ski boots and snowboard boots. Lee’s also offers pre-formed and custom molded foot beds for excellent foot support.

Off Season Prep & Storage
Equipment preparation and storage for the summer. Requires belt, stone, or ceramic grind. $30 (plus tuning fee)

Ski and Snowboard Shop Services

Component Binding Installation
This service includes placing the binding and boot at the correct position on the ski, adjusting the binding to the boot and to the skier settings, and then testing the binding for the correct release and retention values. (Drilling Required)

Basic Tune
Base material is flattened and smoothed using the Micro 91 Belt Grinder. Base and side edges are cleaned, sharpened and beveled. Edges are detuned and deburred. Hot roll wax is applied and buffed to a polished finish. Base edge bevel is 1 degree. Side edge bevel is 1 degree.

Performance Tune
Base material is flattened, smoothed, and structured with a standard crosshatch pattern using the Micro 91 Stone Grinder. Base and side edges are cleaned, sharpened and beveled. Edges are detuned and deburred. Hot iron wax is applied and buffed to a polished finish. Base edge bevel is 0 to 1 degree. Side edge bevel is 0 to 3 degrees.

Advanced Tune
Base material is flattened, smoothed, and structured with a standard crosshatch pattern using the Micro 91 Stone Grinder. Base and side edges are cleaned, sharpened and beveled using the Trim 91 Ceramic Edge Grinder. Edges are detuned and deburred. Hot iron wax is applied and buffed to a polished finish. Base edge bevel is 0 to 1 degree. Side edge bevel is 0 to 3 degrees.

Mini Tune (edges must be rust free)
If your base is flat and clean, but you need to sharpen the edges and a fresh coat of wax, then the mini tune is exactly what you need. The edges are honed, beveled, detuned and deburred. The base is cleaned and re-waxed. No base grind is done with this tune.

Nordic Tune
Nordic (cross country) ski bases can wear out and become fuzzy from friction, sticks, and stones. A Nordic belt tune removes the fuzzies and smoothes out the base. Even the no-wax models can benefit from a better glide. No-wax models are tuned on the tip and tail glide zone only. Wax is not included.

Nordic Pine Tar & Polar Wax
Nordic skis with wood bases need to be conditioned before the base wax can be applied. This process is called pine tarring. The old layer of pine tar must be removed before the new layer can be applied. The polar base wax then goes on over the pine tar. The kick zone and glide zone waxes are applied by the skier according to the current temperature of the day. Kick and glide wax is not included

Repair Services
Base repair to minor gouges that do not expose the core of the ski or snowboard.

Delaminating Repair
Impact and core exposure can separate the layers of the ski or snowboard construction. This damage must be repaired to prevent moisture and contamination from damaging the core further.

Application of universal temperature hot wax.

Race Services
